A deed better than praying whole night #notes
salam, as we all know, Allah is very very generous in giving pahala to His servants, us. eg, you can do solat syuruk to get pahala as if you went for hajj and umrah, you can pray isha' and fajr in congregation to get pahala for praying the whole night, you can get pahala for reading the whole quran if you read Surah An-nas 3 times, you can get the whole-day fasting pahala if you feed people and subhanallah a lot more! I was once doubting, "ehh....its too good to be true...". but it is. Allah is indeed very generous like His name, al Karim. He's not just generous, loving, merciful....and everything. Alhamdulillah for a loving Allah. And, yes, it is a matter of "nak tak nak" je kan. We can actually achieve big big rewards like hajj, by doing the alternatives.
May Allah allow us to always race for good deeds!
But one thing I learn from this youtube video, its from Sheikh Omar Suleiman, he shared about a deed better than praying the whole night. Who doesnt want it? and it is to contemplate for an hour. To disconnect with the world, and connect with Allah for an hour.
How?
Go outside, be in the nature, and just taking it allll in, breathe in fresh air, contemplating on the signs of Allah, and remember Allah. Just go out and stare at the breathing beach, stare at the ever-flowing cold river, stare at the serene lake, be in the green forest, honestly, anywhere. just staring out your window can be it because Allah's signs are everywhere kan. And while taking it all in, we can be in awe by making tasbih, takbir, and tahleel. And remember those ayahs in the quran and experiencing it in real time.
like, if theres a leaf falling from a tree, "Oh, Allah knows youre falling", seeing the deep ocean, "oh, only Allah knows whats happening in the 3 layer of darkness", seeing the clouds "Oh, Allah's the one moving it to bring life to the death", seeing the ships sailing across the sea, "Oh, its Allah who make it float", seeing flocks of birds flying "Its Allah who's holding them up in the sky", seeing the hard-working ant sisters "ohh, how the ants are working very hard like Allah said in the Quran"....you know, THERES A LOT. I was shocked as i am writing this cause my hands can't stop typing.
looking into the nature is not just healing us but also a deed better than praying a whole night. This is not just what muslims do, the non-muslims love it too. But we have extra benefit to it by not staring at it mindlessly. see how generous Allah is?
Also, we can also just sit and contemplate on ourselves. On our sins, and how do we get closer to Allah, how do we fix ourselves to be better....just thinking and talk to Allah. Cause Allah is ever listening, always responds.
may we always be the people who always reflect, have a heart thats "alive" and not have empty mind. and may we always got to do BOTH contemplating, and prayers at night <3
now im thinking of going to Jeju again just to contemplate. or before anyone yell at me "Takde negara lain ke???" switzerland, or netherland, or ireland........#alasan
