Mama were left alone in the bus….

Salam!

i was going to blog every day in real time when i was in korea, but i was too busy i couldn’t even look at the phone for other things. So im trying my best to recall everything that happened. also, most of you guys want me to write for each day there (srsly? 😒 its 10 days) so i’ll try my best. Only if i remember hhaaaa.

Bismillah.

so ..first day… wait how do people write again?

ok.

the excitement didnt really came together only after me, and my family (im going with my mom and siblings, and my aunts and cousins) passed the korean immigration gate. since theyre so strict on it. the only thing running around my head weeks before going is howw the heck am i gonna do if we failed the immigration? what if only one person had to return? what if I am the one who have to return? what can i do to help if one of them had to return? how much money will we burn? should we just continue the trip? bla bla bla. my heart was not settled theres no space for excitement. and, to be honest, this is not the first time im going so im not that excited. oh and, my dad’s not coming tgt so i was quite sad. AND, it was winter. i hate cold. i cant do cold.

nooooot a good idea going on winter. our body were shocked we had fever.

we prepared a lot of documents. i asked them to remember the itinerary haha its so funny hearing they pronounce the places wrong. we were queing at the immigration line and i hear my cousin at the back “yong…san…gu……ma..po…gu….gyeong…bokgung” stuttering the details ready to answer any questions given. to end up not being asked anything! Alhamdulillah. watching everyone passed one by one..feels like the weeks of burden on my shoulder had been lifted off of me and only then i can smile and take pictures.

like winning a gold medal or smthing

besides the hours of delay, everything was okay until there.

the flight was delayed for i think 2 hours so they gave us snacks

the adventure every single tourist coming to seoul, which is to carry sooo sooo heavy bagS to the accommodation going through the roads and the stairs in Seoul, starts.

we rode the train to seoul station, coming out the station, with hustle of course, thanks to the map guide by the airbnb owner, we’ve reached our first airbnb. The house was so small, we had beds for all of us but the shared space was so small we bumped into each other. its okay; its only for 2 nights.

After putting our bags, we headed out with the plan to visit the palace and Buchon Hanok Village, but the palace was closed. So we decided to go to itaewon for lunch. by the bus.

The bus was familiar for me and my cousins but ofcourse not for my mom and my aunt. so we had to enter the bus from the front door, tap, and tap again, and exit through the middle door. thats kinda like a universal bus thing for the world. At our destination-station, we all get off the bus except our mothers…….the door closed, and it went on its way…with our eyes locked to each other, speechless………..like this,  :o

my mom’s face was so funny; i vividly remember it.

leaving especially our mothers lost in this city, with language barriers, is the last thing we want to happen. So, with our intelligence, (lol) we asked them to just go down to the next stop, and we’ll fetch them there. Alhamdulillah the next stop was not too far. fuh. ohh, and the bus driver there drives soooooo fast and idk, their fast culture, they move fast too, they dont wait. First tip for you guys if you’re going: don’t be too slow there.

so Itaewon is famous for its steep streets, i was quite worried they’d be tired on the first day, but i guess they were too excited cause its snowing. And, we were going for lunch. we will never be too tired for food.

Ordered, and sat in the nice heated halal restaurant, (Eid). Despite the hunger, we still can’t focus on our meal with the snow going down outside the window. I guess we have fomo; we left our food, put on our jackets and gloves back, and went out to play with the snow and took some pictures.

the food was great. We had soup to warm our bodies back up. i had……..i forgot.

We wanted to visit the mosque, but we didn’t have enough time because we’re checking in at 4. Oh, just now, we were just putting our bags outside of the house. We had to rush back home to pray and rest.

mama and my aunt couldnt move anymore; they dont want to go anywhere but we cousins went out to see the seoul lantern festival. besides the snow and the lights, it was boring. i saw an influencer promoting this, and i couldnt help to refrain myself from saying to everyone its nothing. or maybe bcs its too cold idk.

went to the lotte mart otw back. to found nothing but a halal indomie. thanks indonesia. Went to the neighbourhood playground to play with snow again bcs we couldn’t get enought of it

its showing hard until the next morn

andddd went back home. Cooked some maggie goreng, and slept.

That was our first day. Its tiring, but its bearable. We had our first snow. Excited for tomorrow

the neighbourhood playground was white

seoul lantern festival

hungry people

stay tuned for the next day! we went to …..a railbike thing (that we dont like, at all) and nami island, and cold wave.
